How do I apply the dye?
Each bottle comes with full instructions on the label. You simply mix the
dye concentrate with water and apply with a garden sprayer. You can even
use a spray bottle for very small areas.
How long does it take for the dye to dry?
The dye dries quickly on the surface, but you should apply at least 6 hours
prior to irrigation or rainfall to allow for complete drying of all material.
Will the dye stain other surfaces?
The dyes will wash off of most green plants without adverse staining. Care
should be taken when applying around flower petals, buds, concrete, wood,
stones, or other porous surfaces, as these can be permanently stained.
Is your dye safe around pets, plants, and people?
Yes. The raw materials used to make the dyes are made from naturally
occurring colors found in the Earth's surface. These dyes are specially
formulated to be non-toxic to plants and animals.
How long will the color last?
Color will last at least nine months on most mulches, with a gradual
fading during that time.
Will the dye wash off or leach?
No. Once the dye is dry, it is on the mulch permanently.
How much area will a bottle cover?
Dependent on the condition and porosity of the mulch, as well as the
deepness of the color desired, one bottle makes 1-1/2 gallon of dye and
will treat 50 to 200 square feet of mulched areas.
